A book review: King of Ayodhya

This is sixth and the last book in the Ramayana series by Ashok K. Banker. Frankly it is a very big letdown. I personally feel that as the books go by, the quality goes down in a way. After the the tale culminates after five books, the climax in this book is just disappointing.
In this book, Rama the main character reaches the isle of Lanka where his nemesis, the demon Ravana has held his wife, Sita Devi captive. There, Rama do battle with Ravana's demon hordes with his own army of magical monkeys and bears. The battle is fierce and magic is used on both sides to ensure victory. What I'm not pleased about is the ending battle between Ravana and Rama. I expected it to be intense, drawn out and simply epic in proportions. Plus there are a few questions in the book that is left unanswered. As the tale of the Ramayana is completed I don't think there will be another book and thus the questions are left buried in our hearts. Sadly it is a big big letdown. What were you thinking Ashok?
